OCAEYC values the impact we make as early childhood professionals through public awareness, advocacy, professional development and networking to achieve positive outcomes for all children and their families.
Mission
Our mission is to support those professionals in their work with children, birth through age eight, to advocate high standards and improved working conditions in programs for young children, and to improve public understanding of issues affecting children and families. To achieve this mission, we
Strive to build a strong, diverse, and inclusive organization,
Present workshops and seminars on timely issues in early childhood education,
Sponsor a number of working committees which address key concerns in our field,
Collaborate with other groups that work for children and families,
Provide scholarships for conferences and further education of members,
Recognize outstanding contributions to early childhood education by individual members,
Support networking and mentoring opportunities for early childhood professionals, and
Celebrate, honor, and respect diversity of our membership and the children and families we serve.
