Welcome!
The Orange
County Association for the Education of
Young Children (OCAEYC) is one of the largest early
childhood professional organization in
southern California with over 1200
members. This year we are celebrating
our 50th year as an organization.
In 1957, we began our primary mission of
supporting early childhood educators.
Since then, the organization's volunteer
members have dedicated
their time and efforts to improving the
education and lives of young children throughout our county . To that end, OCAEYC's members:
-
Come
from all aspects of early care and
education representing diverse roles
and points of view
-
Advocate on behalf of young
children, their families, and the
early childhood programs dedicated
to serving them, helping build
public support and policies that
promote access and excellence in
early childhood education
-
Provide
important leadership to the field,
helping to build the foundation for
a bright future for Orange County's
children
-
Strengthen and build the early
childhood profession by providing
and participating in ongoing
education and professional
development that is designed to increase
knowledge, improve skills, and
promote high quality experiences for
young children in a variety of
different settings
-
Partner
with other individuals
organizations, businesses and
agencies to
educate the public and community
leaders about the importance of high
quality programs for children ages
birth through age eight
